@sanantoniomunchies: Hey San Antonio, if you haven’t been to Golden Star Cafe, chances are your mother, father, or even Abuelo’s or Abuela’s have! 90 years in business serving the downtown area and gangster AF. I stopped by after visiting my cousins at county. I went with the Lunch specials of Sweet & Sour Pork, Combination Fried Rice, and Beef & Broccoli plates. I also order some dumplings cause I’m a Gordito. Food wasn’t cooked by a culinary master, or a world renowned chef, place is dated and hood, and chances are you might get approached by the homeless while going to your car. If you can look past all that and not be mamon, you get some affordable Chinese American food that’s been serving the Westside for 90 years.
