I'm all for making things better but if something missed... how did it attach? That kinda defeats the purpose of say a rouge dodging the attack for whatever reason.. jumping behind cover etc. my op.

seems way overpowered for a level one spell, ranged touch attack dealing 2d12 damage Plus bonus attacks of an extra D12. range increments of 60 ft. lasts for up to a minute. badly balanced

I alway used used it as a way to generate lvl1 DMG without using more than 1 spell slot, well as long as it hit the first time lol

I think it's good for martials without concentration too. You can get it with Magic Origin Wizard as a human or as an Eldritch Knight. Only problem is that it's ranged attack and might be in melee.

This spell got SO much better. I’ve used it twice in a new campaign but I rolled a nat20 both times for the attack roll killing my targets so I haven’t had a chance to use the bonus action yet 🥲

Yikes that is wildly op for a lvl 1 spell, the increased range, latch, and bonus action is awesome but they should bump down the reoccurring damage

I hated that even if you hit, all anyone had to do was move their full speed away from you and they negated the usefulness of the spell
