no no no, I tried to replace alcohol with kava in college. I got a blood test and my liver enzymes were dangerously higher that even when I drank 4 drinks a day. it's very liver toxic for some ppl.

Kava can feel quite nice, but definitely isn't something that is good to consume regularly. Still only for a treat or to help someone transition away from alcohol.
