HOW TO: iron on veneer edge banding to finish plywood edges - Take your edge banding and cut it the length of the first edge with an inch of overhang on each side. - Turn your iron on as hot as it will go and start by ironing the banding in the middle then iron out to one side and out to the other. - Once it cools, cut off the excess with scissors then sand what remains at a 45 degree angle. They sell edge banding trimming tools but mine had so little overhang that I just sanded the excess off the front and back the same way I did on the edges. - That’s it! Now you can leave it as is or stain it. You can also use this to finish MDF edges! #DIY #howto #diyproject #plywoodproject #veneeredgebanding #furnituredesign
