Do you have to use fire rated sheet rock with this type of insulation? I’d be worried if any spark was to catch the wood fibers, the home would catch fire, fast

Only a matter of time before lumber companies soak their studs in borate and sell drive coat of lumber even higher. Though insurance would probably drop a bit, so pros/cons I guess.

Borate will last indefinitely which is crazy BUT if exposed to any kind of moisture it starts to deteriorate.
