This is not talked about as much as it should. So many people don’t eat as much as they should each day due to self image and “standards”. Food is fuel, and your body needs food to function properly. You do NOT have to earn food. You deserve food. It can be hard but you deserve it and need it. So many people torment themselves on the idea of “if I’ll eat this I’ll be fat” or just simply believe that they can’t eat because they have to be skinny for “social standards”. But that cannot be farther than the truth. Honestly, the perfect body doesn’t exist. The truth is that perfect does not have a concrete definition. For the girls: When you look at female models on Instagram or Just any social, just know you don’t need to look like them. Some are photoshop, Some are makeup but they don’t get to depict what you think you should look like. You’re are beautiful just the way you are and don’t need to look like anybody but yourself. So can we just get rid of this ideology of having a tiny waist and the perfect face and perfect body. For the boys: Gains aren’t immediate. I know I’m no where close to being big and I’m not that strong, but if you don’t want to hear that from me, take it from someone like Chris Bumstead or Alex Eubank. You gotta keep working and you gotta be consistent in the gym if you really want to maximize your gains. It’s about patience and discipline and how much you want it. Consistency is key. Learning from bigger people with more experience is really a game changer. The biggest people in the gym are nicest. We’re all there to better ourselves. I promise you at the end of the day, no one is judging you, we’re all too busy to judge ourselves. Eating properly is the best way to maximize gains. You’re not going to see much progress without a proper diet. And we don’t have to look like people on social media as well. I know alot of gym rats feeds, or really anyone’s social media feeds are filled with, the “perfect people”. But don’t let that discourage who you are. We are all beautiful and we are who we are and let’s embrace it <3 #gym #Fitness #mikeylift #awareness #selflove #MentalHealth
