In turkish they translated Eternal Sunshine as "Sil Baştan" and its top tier wordplay. its an idiom meaning smth like to start over from scratch but its also a homonym to "delete (it) from your head"

in russia there's a tradition to rename horrors as a part of a franchise they might have 0 connection to: final destination, paranormal activity, insidious, etc. but it can also be considered a compliment to the og movie, which was deemed good by masses, because resently substance joined this league too

The title's change because of the culture too, the Brazilian movie O Auto da Compadecida, is very hard to translate, "auto" is a type of play, "Compadecida" is another name to virgin Mary in the movie, comes from the word compassion, and in English the movie is called "The dogs will" because of a sub plot at the beginning of the movie.

I would say in Italian it doesn’t sound as harsh, cancello is closer to erase you and the sentence as a comedic tone to it
