I thought Mercadona was cheap and low quality. I found Eroski stores to have better quality products when I visited 🇪🇸🤷🏽♀️

Olives good, arroz con leche good, hummus good. I cannot buy any meat from their including cold meat. Fish is OK. The English cheddar is excellent

Loads of additives in these products. That’s the problem for me with Mercadona. You need to check the labels. There do have some good things without additives but I always check the labels.

I've been to Mercadona in Los Cristianos on Tenerife imagining that it is the best supermarket, but I just had the feeling I entered a discount store similar to Aldi and Lidl, just with less choice...
