Do not do this… surveyor here! You need an independent person to identify the cause and advise a solution for your budget! Do not trust someone who is selling a product to diagnose your problem

wrong buddy, remove the plaster, let the wall dry out for 2 week, the replaster wall with original line plaster which is breathable allowing moisture to escape & putting the wall back to original

No such thing as rising damp … usually just poor ventilation or non breathable paints and renders 👍🏻👍🏻

Please don’t do that as you can do it cheaper by just buying tanking slurry. Take of all the old plaster to the brick work and just brush on. After it drys re plaster the wall no need for drilling.

The only think that worked in my 1906 terraced was take the wall down to the brick, rake the face mortar out, fill it with silicone, then SBR and cement, then sand2-1cement mix. 15 years later ok.
