I already saw a kid got injured doing the leg press with nonsensical weight trying to hit 5 reps. Staying in the lower rep ranges for every single lift is inherently riskier, for most people. Some people are literally built for 5-8 reps on most movements, while some like you and me are the opposite. I won’t ever go below 8 reps, at least not on purpose. My tiny joints can’t take the beating of low reps + I hate training like that

Well said. IMO I think the science based community has ruined the fun of lifting. Just go in & train hard, progress ur lifts.
