@sophiemorrisofficial: Not all supermarket in-store bakery breads are the same! I’m often getting asked about the breads from in-store bakeries and I’ve managed to get my hands on the ingredient lists for Lidl’s bakery so wanted to share them with you! I really feel as consumers we have the right to have access to full ingredient lists for the in-store bakery products at the point of purchase—just like with any other food—so that we can make our own informed choices when choosing which bread to buy. Why not have the ingredients lists displayed on the wall beside the in-store bakery? I think it’s something retailers should consider. The good news is - overall the Lidl in-store bakery breads seem to be less ultra processed than the typical packaged supermarket loaves, but some are definitely better than others and so why not display the ingredients so that consumers can be informed and then make up their own mind.
