if you wanna save money just get a cheap hotel (that you're comfortable with) cause you'll only really be in it to sleep there's so much to do in Japan you really don't need an amazing hotel

I just book first few nights and last few nights. There’s so many places to stay that they won’t be booked out. Unless you are going to the snow then definitely book in advance
