@kaptainshiney: The ONLY thing I need my puppy to learn every single session every single day - is that I'm a blast to be around and we always have a good time together. No sit, no down, no heel - is more important than that. Vowie was having trouble focusing on a heel staying in lower drive, she was too excited and the environment was too much fun. So when I got a win we had a party and my treat pouch became a makeshift muzzle in Vower's first experience of driving into a face covering type of equipment. Guess what? She chose me over all those things because I appreciated the struggle I knew she was having. This builds trust, not reliance. There is nothing more important than this: your dog must love to do things with you.
