@shoplovebylaur: Replying to @tessa.nique I wouldn’t mind a bigger cutting mat but also don’t know if I want one the size of a table? lol #sewingbeginner #sewingtok #sewingtips #sewingtipsandtricks #calicocritters #cuttingmat #sewingmat
Lots of different rules. Buy what you need. And a 24x36 mat works best for me!

For making long cuts, you can always fold the fabric and cut through multiple layers of cloth at once. I like a 6x24 ruler and my mat is 18x24

18x24 inches is what I use because it fits well on my desk. But really depends on your space and project type. probably get a variety pack of rulers since it's cheaper than buying them one at a time. if you think you'll get into quilting at any point you'll use all the sizes over time.

depends on what type of sewing you do. I have a 3inx18in, 6inx24in rulers plus lots of square rulers big and small, hexagon etc. if you plan on clothes or large items get a big mat.

I use a 24x36 and 36x48 inch mats. It really depends on what you're doing. I find myself upgrading my rulers as I need them. The 3x18 ruler is great for most my stuff.

I say get two!! I have two wawak ones, a 12x18 for smaller projects (or if I’m at like the coffee table or something) and a 24x36 for larger patterns like skirts and a general workspace!
