My studio charges $100/month, and $40 per 25 lb bag of clay. I feel it’s pretty reasonable! We can use any glaze there, although I do have a few of my own jars.

So grateful for my studio! It’s $80 a year for membership, clay is $30 for 25 pounds, and we have a bunch of glazes and materials. Never moving from this city!

I was considering wheel from amazon 😂 Just for start... Because what if I am poopy with pottery, mayhe better to starts with cheap wheel and eventually upgrade 🤭

I found my wheel and kiln second hand for 1k. Replaced the wheel head for $400 and belt for $50. Found a mini kiln for $75 additionally. Spent $400 for the 240v plug. That’s without the supplies

My studio charges $45 a month and clay ranges. $35-55 depending on the type. They just limit you to 6 pieces per stage

I have a $200 Vevor wheel (“from Amazon”) and it works just fine. Have had it for two years and had no issues as long as I’m throwing with less that ~7 pounds

So thankful for my local parks and rec center — I’m in a 9 week (1x/week) course for $25 and all supplies included 🪴 I’ve been having a blast hand building and trying out the wheel!

I spent around 2800 on my home studio! I brought my kiln for 1600, I had to get a 20v outlet (200), the glazes were 100 dollars, and my wheel (vl lite) was 900! I couldn't do this without my parents-

And you don’t need a kiln if you live in a big city. I just get my stuff fired at a studio close by but hopefully one day I can afford my own

a lot of ppl at my community college have been taking classes for upwards of 20 yrs bcs it’s cheap but im lucky enough to be a lab tech there now so one of my benefits is i get to use the studio

I've been throwing on a Vevor wheel from Amazon for almost 5 years now! It was about $220 when I bought it and it gets the job done, but I am sooo excited to be upgrading to a "real" wheel this year.
