@litwaklibrary: Any book that exists in the Briar University world is guaranteed to bring me immense joy. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙙 did exactly that. From start to finish, I truly enjoyed this book. There were plenty of laugh out loud moments, lots of hockey team banter, a swoon worthy romance, and emotional depth. The main characters were impossible not to love. Charlie, Beckett, and Will were such genuine characters navigating their own traumas and conflicts. Charlie with her adoption, Beckett with his past, and Will with his father. Then they enter into this situationship completely unaware that they’re going to fall hard and fast for one another. They really crept up on each other and brought out the very best in one another. They were exactly right together and I loved seeing each characters growth throughout the book. I also really enjoyed the nostalgia aspect. It’s in every quip from Coach Jensen, it’s in dad chat, it’s in those classic Hollis moments, and it’s definitely in the setting. But what I really loved was Elle Kennedy’s ability to give us those special callbacks while simultaneously giving us new characters and a new story to fall in love with. The narrators Teddy Hamilton, Persephone Lee, and Sean Masters portrayed these characters beautifully. I absolutely loved it. It truly enhanced my reading experience.
