My poor dad when I brought home injured birds and mangy cats and limping dogs and skinny horses, etc. Always caught him loving on them when he thought no one was looking! 😂🤣

I brought a stray pup home when I was 9. Dad said "no!" Mom, being the wise lady she was, said "let that pup work on him". Well that pup named Jenny was with us until she passed at 18 years old.💕

After our 1st dog died, my mom was so sad so my dad said he wouldn’t stop her if she got a dog. The next morning, she adopted a dog. 🤣 Only time I’ve seen my dad cry was when our 2nd dog died.

Close but the family dog was “my dad’s hunting dog” that was going to live outside and only for hunting. She was inside on the first night and on the furniture. 😂

I got a dog after graduating/moving out, and my parents tried so hard to convince me it was a bad idea. Cut to a month later and they call, not to talk to me, but to check in on their “Granddog.” 😂
