My aunt is a L&D nurse and said a mama came in a few weeks ago in labor and admitted to taking castor oil, the baby pooped while in the womb and inhaled it, the baby had to stay in the 1/2

40 weeks this week. I will be doing this if they can’t do a membrane sweep at my appointment tomorrow. Women have been using castor oil for yearssssss.

Took 1 tablespoon at 4:30pm yesterday, was admitted into hospital by 7pm at 7cm dilated, gave birth at 10:08pm. my 19 hour induced labor with my first was way worst. My OB suggested castor oil 😏

People should read research articles before saying it’s unsafe it’s very effective (91%) GI symptoms in a small percentage of people and pitocin is not any better so if your set to get induced anyway

I took it with my first and I only labored 4 hours my mother in law took it with all 11. My ob even recommended it.. so people who say don’t take it just ignore them

There’s so much fear mongering around castor oil. Go read the actual case studies and medical journals. It is not dangerous when you are full term if you take as directed.

Pitocin has worse risks/ side effects than castor oil and yet it’s standard practice and todays world. Always discuss everything with your on first obviously but it’s safer than an induction lol

i took it for my last two, walked alot and drink lots of water and it worked within 8-9 hours i was admitted to hospital in labor
