Eat less calories than your maintenance calorie requirement. So for me, to maintain my weight I’d need to eat 2650 calories a day, so lose 2lbs a week with “moderate activity” I need 1680.

Figure out the amount of calories you eat on a normal day. Then once you know that number cut it down by like 500. 1100 cals is not a safe number. Pretty sure toddlers are supposed to eat 1200 cal.

I did intermittent fasting and worked out. if I skipped work out, I would eat less. my usual intake SHOULD be around 1200, but I would try to stay around 900. but 2020 and pregnancy knocked me out 😅

It depends on a lot of factors, including how much you want to lose in how much time. I ate in about 400-600 calorie deficit for 6-8 months (+walking) and lost 60 lbs.

There are online calculators where you put in your height & weight and it will tell you your maintenance calories (how many you should eat to maintain your current weight) and your deficit amount

It depends on how many calories it takes to maintain your current weight. Example, 2500 calories to maintain your current weight, less than that would be a calorie deficit.

Just pick a number of calories and eat less of it and make it a goal. If it dosnt work you’re not burning enough energy (calories) cut 300 a day. 🥰

Take weight you want to be multiply that by 12= calories for your deficit. Never eat until you’re completely full or stuffed, that means you over ate, always be barely hungry. Self control.

Check out a TDEE calculator and put in your information. Whatever that calculates is your maintenance. Subtract 200-500 calories and that is your goal for a deficit. Be sure to update as you progress.

I eat less most days. I eat around 1600-1800 calories and I burn about 2000-2200 but I’m very sedentary. If I workout then I eat more but still stay 300-500 under my max burned calories for the day

You can calculate what you weigh, what you want to weigh, and either meet those calories or fall between. It’s anything below maintenance. Always best to not calculate movement, use it as motivation

It’s very simple you’re eating less. You’re eating less calories. You’re exercising to burn calories. You’re strengthening your muscles to help burn fat. Everybody’s deficit is gonna be different

Your deficit depends on your specific body. A good base line is to use an online calculator to find your baseline and try to eat/burn more than that number. When I was 207lb I was eating around 1800-

A calorie deficit is eating less than you are to hit your goal weight. I’ll lose 1 pound a week at 1600 cals to hit my goal. So depends on what you want to lose and what you are now.

Big night time snacker here! I have a protein shake in the evening. Idk if that's "right" but it stops my night time snack binge.

you calculate how many calories you expend in a day, and you want to eat less than you’re expending. caloriecalculator.net is a great tool. you just have to get close to what your baseline is!

My BMR is around 1950. I burn 700-800 on days I exercise. So exercise days I’ll eat 1900ish, non exercise days I eat 1400ish.

depends on your BMR. my bmr is 1425. if i laid in bed all day every day, my body would burn 1425 calories a day. if I work out, it's more. I eat 2k calories a day to maintain. I work out 3x a week
