@mrjregis: Someone asked me how did I know when it was time for me to leave? & Honestly, 2024 kicked my butt. Not because of the workload, but because I no longer felt purpose or fulfillment in what I did. I felt STUCK!!! Walking away sounds easy, but when you’ve invested years into something, leaving feels like tearing away a part of yourself. Still, I had to protect my peace, my mental health, and my future. Choosing myself was the best decision I could’ve made. But the truth is, too many Black men suffer in silence. We’re taught to push through, to provide, to endure but at what cost? Our mental health matters just as much as our physical strength, career success, or ability to lead. It’s time we normalize these conversations, check in on each other, and create spaces where vulnerability isn’t seen as weakness, but as power. Because real strength isn’t just in carrying the weight it’s in knowing when to put it down. Here will always be a safe space! Drop a comment if you over came anything in 2024 👇🏾
