At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 23rd, a Sacramento Code Enforcement officer in South Sac requested backup for street vendors “assaulting” him. ⁣ ⁣ Minutes later, over 7+ Sacramento PD patrol vehicles and officers came to assist 5+ Sacramento Code Enforcement officers as they harassed, dehumanized, and weighed the confiscated food before placing all of it in large black garbage bags to trash.⁣ ⁣ In the beginning, a Code Enforcement officer struggles to take a box from a vendor filming and assualts his arm while doing so.
