@anatomy.of.motion: In some positions our shoulder joint is more easily protected than in others. For example, in this position, stabilizing muscles are allowed to work in a 'shortened' state which makes their balanced engagement 'easier'. This position on the other hand requires a good amount of 'elongation' of the supporting muscles, making their balanced engagement 'harder'. As the first of these positions offers more support and an easier tension feeling than the second one, they are often labeled as good and bad or proper and improper, but the best thing you can do for your health is to ignore those labels and focus on getting strong in the transition between the two. #shoulderworkout #scapula
