Girl don’t listen to these haters. My dad and i did this to my family’s garage in like 2005 and it’s still holding up.

Concrete is super important so she totally botched the prep and skipped several mandatory steps.

Gouging contractors in the comments, acting like it takes a PhD to roll some paint on the floor and throw some chips down

In a few years the areas where vehicle tires rest overnight will definitely start pealing. So you really didn’t save $. Been there, done that NEVER again.

Don't waste people's time getting quotes if you're just going to end up doing it yourself.

Your price is 5k cheaper but you will have to redo it almost every year because it will peel and fade. A professional company charges 5-6k for that garage but you won’t have issues for 10-15 years.

I did a 30ft x 40ft barn by myself in two days, 9 years ago. Have parked all sorts of heavy farm equipment in there, it looks brand new! So glad I did it. That is all.

That’s going to cost more when it needs redone. The concrete needs a grinder to it then a moister resistant coating before the 1st coat of epoxy. I do everything myself… but I paid for professionals

If u want to do it yourself then say you have the time and energy for it. There is no need to add the reason of it being too expensive for a professional to charge that amount. People don’t work for peanuts, they also have bills and family to provide for. Also $6000 for a 3 park garage is not a small area

You didn’t grind the concrete and it looks very poor in flakes. I can see blotchy areas all over.

Professionals grind a thin layer off of the top of the concrete floor to ensure a good bond. This will lift off in less than a year. And your 2 days work is worth how much money?

The prep work is the biggest thing to focus on when doing an epoxy floor like this. Good on you for trying it yourself, and hope it lasts you a long time
