My dad have a liver transplant in 2023 due to alpha one antitrypsin disorder, which is a genetic enzyme/ blood disorder. There’s so many reasons other than alcohol people need a liver transplant.

unfortunately transplant surgeries don't always go well. my father was lucky with his heart transplant surgery but the aftermath is also scary. chances of rejection, infection from the hospital, etc

Horribly sad. She might’ve been a functional alcoholic, which is why she needed the liver transplant. Sadly, a lot of people die in their 30s and 40s from alcoholism. Alcohol abuse is a disease.
