@chasseurdesons: The call of Willow Ptarmigans 🪶 Sometimes, the best encounters are the unexpected ones. While walking through the Lac Saint-Jean region, I came across a group of Willow Ptarmigans by the roadside, near a snow-covered field. I quickly hid to avoid disturbing them and took the time to watch… and listen. I managed to record some of their calls: a series of short vocalizations, followed by a clattering sound just before they took off. In winter, they turn completely white, blending perfectly into the snow. A beautiful moment to witness and record. #nature #canada #winter #pourtoi #fyp
