@chris_mf_craig: Have you ever have a customer who just bought a car recently complaining of harsh vibrations? Have you ever ver have it turn out to be flat spots on tires? And then have you ever had to navigate the argument of who’s going to pay for these tires? What an adventure. Let’s get into how I like to handle these situations…. #technician #serviceadvisor #newtires #carsales #dealership
Pull the UCI , find where the used manager declined tires on the inspection, hand the situation to him.

Bought a truck they replaced the struts before I took it then had to take it back because they busted the axle boot and it had a heavy leak

I mean it's pretty obvious the dealership should be covering those tires one way or another. Unless they hate return business.

how about when you pay for a tire rotation and they don't do and a few months later you find out your tires are cupped because they weren't rotated by the dealership when you paid for them to be?

mine sits for 6 months at a time, no problem with flat spots as long as they are aired up properly

Kyle Bloom :
That’s why dealers should go back to having trusted salespeople get demos so every week they can rotate cars, keep them running smoothly and if something was missed in inspection it would be fixed

It happens a bit at my dealership too. My dealer tries it’s best to handle issues like this for our customers especially if they are repeat buyers.

I would assume it was test driven before that said vehicle was purchased so the flat spots should of been felt on the test drive… I feel any reputable dealer would do what’s right by the Customer tho

Yea that should be covered because it’s the dealerships fault for not moving the vehicle regularly.

Just happened to me with a new car. They ended up taking the wheels and tires off the same exact car that just came in and swapped them. I hope they don’t try to put them on the other car
