my tips for meal prepping🤍 I’ve been prepping for awhile now and although it takes time and patience & lots of practice lol. It’s saved me so much time throughout the week, and helped me stay on track with my nutritional goals. Here are some more tips I didn’t mention! The tips I mentioned: 1. Write out your meals, recipes. Get inspiration from anything & check your fridge if you can create something and make use of what you have! 2. If you’re trying out new things, make sure you have all the ingredients, if you don’t - you can always tweak recipes to your liking! 3. Clean as you go, or clean for 30 minutes to an hour after depending on what works best for you! I’ve done both and tbh less cleaning after is always the best 4. I would always meal prep with jewelry until I realized , mixing meat with jewelry isn’t great, who knows what bacteria will grow lol 5. Meal prep containers ! You could use leftover take away boxes and heat them up on plates or you can invest in non toxic containers so they last longer. It’s up to you! 6. Listen to a podcast or something that will entertain you if you’re easily bored. I actually enjoy cooking in silence now, I set the intention to “cook for my well being and to enjoy the cooking process” . If you go into meal prepping with the mindset of “ugh I’m dreading this” then you’ll never enjoy it. I used to hate it too haha but now I actually love it Things I didn’t mention: 1. Wait until the food cools off to close containers, or place in the fridge to avoid any bacteria 2. I cook for 3 days. Meals are usually good for up to 5 days though depending on what you cook 3. Don’t overcook your food, try to cook it at a temperature where reheating will still allow the food to be moist, and not overly dry. 4. Meal prepping doesn’t have to be chicken and rice, and if you aren’t seasoning your food and getting creative with ingredients (veggies, fruits, seasonings) then you’ll most likely get bored of the food. I used to. So try getting creative and experiment!! 5. It always sucks in the beginning. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll become addicted to meal prepping Hope these help 🫶🏼
