@simondunmore: Jumbi was all about the music. A 6 hours celebration of the soundtrack of my life. A Sunday afternoon / evening that literally fed my soul from start to finish. Playing on a single turntable to a dance floor was a new experience for me. A few people questioned what was the point but it worked in so many ways. The gap between each record created such anticipation and the reaction as the bass, the chords or the vocals filled the room was insane. There were no rules. Just good music. You could genre hop with ease, taking people on a diverse and eclectic musical journey. The audience was knowledgable and receptive. The age group was varied. As I said, all were welcome. I was asked if it was recorded. Unfortunately not, but I have put together a playlist, the link to which in in my bio. I would like to thank @jumbi and @Bradley for the offer to play. Amazing venue, sound system and incredible African-Caribbean cuisine.
