There were 31 fatal accidents this time last year vs the 13 that have happened so far this year. Data from NTSB shows it’s safer to fly now than the last several years.

Some equipment on planes don’t show until you actually take off. I used to be an FA and this happened once in awhile. Pilots won’t take the chance and will return to base.

All 3 of these happen all the time, I’m not saying it’s not something that shouldn’t be improved but as an FA of 6 years and a pilot wife the first 2 were very common occurrences

Well there is also a lot more plane incidents being reported on the national news vs local. Plane incidents happen all the time . It’s just that fear sells, esp since the big one last month, sadly.

This happened in Ecuador too. Avianca airlines plane was traveling from Guayaquil to Cuenca couldn’t land and then 3 days later another plane couldn’t land in Cuenca coming from Quito. 😳😔
