Funny how you mentioned the people in SNG seem more mean. You would find one episode in particular crazy regarding that. Scotty gets rescued on some planet by the crew from SNG in a crossover episode.

1-I thought it was really cool that her father who was a fighter pilot in wwii was her main source for the naval aspects. Data is conscious. He is a person. She made Riker so anti-tech in this.
