Phones being connected to acne has been around since I was a kid, and back then it maybe made more sense, but nowadays, it doesnt. For starters, everything I read about phones increasing the risk for breakouts was never conclusive — it was a potential risk. Additionally, unless you still have a flip phone, MOST people do not hold their phone pressed to their face anymore. The only time I see this happen is if their hands are full and trying to balance holding the phone while doing something simultaneously, and even with that short period, id beg to differ if it’s causing breakouts. People talking on speaker phone (the bane of my existence) or with airpods/headphones in is a lot more common.
