It feels like Charlotte Tilbury is becoming more known for its skincare than its makeup lines in recent months, having released a wave of different products. I’ve tested almost all of them – loved the Water Cream, didn’t like the Magic Serum – but the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Hydrator Mist has eluded me until now. A 5-minute increase of 7.6 points, or 28.6% is above average, not just for the other entries on my best toner and mists list, but compared a high number of serums and moisturisers too. The fact this hydration stayed exactly the same for an hour too is also impressive, and very rare. It does contain a strong fragrance though. I really like the smell but it could cause some problems to skin that’s easily irritated. Plus it’s not cheap – granted the per 30ml price is only £14 but seeing as the cheapest you can get it for is £35, it’s not affordable. All of this considered, the Charlotte Tilbury Hydrator Mist sits in 21st place on my best toner UK list. As with all my hydration tests, this was carried out on damp skin. I know it’s called the Mixsoon bean essence but I wasn’t expecting that texture 🤣 surprisingly it doesn’t feel sticky when you actually start massaging it in and it doesn’t leave a film on the skin either. I’ve never had a Mixsoon product I haven’t liked and this continues that trend. It’s not hugely affordable if you’re buying it in the UK (which is sadly the case with most of the best korean skincare) but it’s far from the most expensive, plus in my experience it works. So it’s worth the extra. Plus you don’t need much at all to get the benefits so it’s lasting well. As with all my hydration tests, this was carried out on damp skin. This has been a hugely popular request and it didn’t disappoint – above-average hydration, full marks for its ingredients, vegan and cruelty-free and not too expensive (not cheap, but cheaper than others). I’ve been using this for about three weeks now and I also really like how it makes my skin feel. I layer it with my moisturiser – my current favourite is The Inkey List’s Ceramide moisturiser – and my face looks less red and feels less tight. Also a little goes a really long way so I’ve hardly used any. Strongly recommend. As with all my hydration tests, this was carried out on damp skin.
