The season has begun for curriculum planning for the 2025/2026 academic year. #homeschoolcurriculumplanning 5️⃣ Ways to make planning for the upcoming year easier. 🔎 Reviewing the Past Year: I reflect on how the year went for each of my kids. I jot down which subjects they thrived in, what curriculum worked best for them, and how their learning styles might have changed over time. It’s essential to celebrate their successes and learn from the challenges! 📅 Planning with New Goals: After reviewing the past year, I set clear learning goals for each child. I consider what they looked forward to in the last year and what they might not be excited about tackling again. This really helps you choose the right resources. 📚Exploring Curriculum Options: I research various curriculums to find ones that fit well with my kids’ learning styles. Some might thrive with hands-on projects, while others prefer reading and worksheets or online platforms. Knowing what works gives me a more precise direction. 🗓️ Determining Our Schedule: I map out what our schedule will look like for the upcoming year. Are we going to do more co-op classes? Should we join additional extracurricular activities? These decisions can significantly influence our chosen curriculum, so I carefully consider our weekly commitments. 📋 Budget & Previewing Curriculum: I always consider my budget and explore options, including used resources or free online materials. I also find it helpful to preview sample lessons or trial periods to ensure the curriculum meets my kids’ needs before making a final decision. Reflecting on the past year and planning thoughtfully for the next, I feel much more prepared and confident as we dive into another exciting school year. I hope these tips help you, too! Homeschool moms, how’s it going? Have you started? If I go MIA for the next couple of months, just know I’m in planning mode for the 25/26 academic year. 🙏🏼🙌🏼📦 Happy homeschooling! #homeschoolmom #homeeducation #homeschoolclassroom #homeschoolcollective #homeschoolfun #homeschoolfamily #homeschoolmoms #moms #parenting #howtohomeschool #homeschooltok
