scroll for my updated curl routine ⬇️🩷🔍 I honestly thought I used wayyy too much mousse when styling and that I would have to rewash my hair 🤣 but somehow I ended up with my favourite washday of the year (at least so far) here’s what I did: 🧼 step one: washed my hair with the @tressemmeuk lamellar shine shampoo, this was my first time using this and I loved!! I rubbed and scrunched this into my scalp and lengths 🧼 step two: double cleansed with @bouncecurl gentle clarifying shampoo 🩷 I’ve gotten into double cleansing as I use hair oils the night before washday to stimulate growth and want to ensure I’m getting rid of all the product residue and grime 🧼 step three: then I went in with the @tressemmeuk lamellar shine mask, I’ve used this a couple of times now and I always get the shiniest, juiciest curl clumps when I do 💿 I brushed this through with my @bouncecurl define style brush 🧼 step four: to style I applied a small amount of the @curlsmith_official shine cream, raking this all through my hair 🧼 step five: to prevent my hair from any potential heat damage when diffusing, I sprayed my hair with the @redken acidic colour gloss heat protectant treatment and then brushed it through 🧼 step six: I scrunched, brush styled using my favourite @bouncecurl define brush and finger rolled my hair to ensure my curls were and would stay defined 💗 🧼 step six: finally to hold all the curls in place I used boucleme super hold styler and scrunched this into my hair 🧼 step seven: I used my @bellissima.uk diffon supreme and dried my hair. The detangling genuinely puts me off washday.. 🥲 but it’s always worth it A few detangling tips: 💗 Apply a deep conditioner to your hair before shampoo to detangle (I’ve found that if I shampoo my hair first my curls sometimes become even more tangled) 💗 After you’re applied your deep conditioner, wet your hair a little to help the deep conditioner spread throughout your hair 💦 💗 Detangle from the bottom up and be gentle (I still need to work on being gentle myself lolll, I get so impatient 😂) 💗 Use a brush designed for detangling, the one I’ve been loving to use recently is @tangleteezer the ultimate detangler brush. This cuts my detangling time in half ⏱️ and reaches the knotty under layer 💗 Some deep conditioners I love are the @garnier coconut hair food, the @boucleme intensive moisture treatment and the @onlycurlslondon deep hydration hair mask 🥰 #curlyhair #curlyhairtips #3acurls #curlygirl #curlyhairroutine #curls #curly #curlscurlscurls #curlyhaircare #washday #curldefinition

making finger rolling easy 🫶🏼💗 finger rolling is my favourite styling technique for a reason!! the results are always to die for 😍if you were struggling with it then I hope this slo-mo tutorial helps 🫶🏼 here’s everything I mentioned in the video (and more) written down👇 ✍️ make sure your hair is fully wet, not damp! if you try this technique on damp hair your hair will be less smooth and likely fail to roll around your fingers (and you’ll get so much more frizz) ✍️ if your hair needs the moisture, add a curl cream or leave-in before finger rolling. this will also make your hair smoother and therefore, easier to style - my favourite is the @imbuecurls conditioning spray ✍️ use your index and middle finger, guiding your fingers down the strand. then wrap your index finger beneath the hair strand and roll up to your roots (the video demo is much easier to understand - it’s very difficult to describe!) ✍️ release your fingers gently from the curl clump, and then if you want more volume, scrunch the excess water from the clump afterward 💦 ✍️ for extra hold, you can scrunch a gel of your choosing into the curl clumps. this will help provide long-lasting definition 🫶🏼 the gel I love for this is the @umbertogiannini curl jelly ✍️ then air dry or diffuse your hair until dry (I diffuse on low heat, medium speed as it takes my hair AGES to air dry!) ✍️ remember that this technique takes practice and you may not get your desired results the first time you try it! but the results are so worth it! that’s all!
