The service said they arrived at 265 Laurier Ave West after a 911 call on February 25 reporting damage to a column at the garage. They found a “heavy snow load” on the open top floor of the six-story building, and said the building’s structural integrity was compromised. Firefighters helped people to evacuate the structure and set up an exclusion zone. They said 50 vehicles remained in the garage with owners being barred from removing them.
