@thejasminebrand: Sad news out of #Louisiana. 😢 Caleb Wilson, a 20-year-old student at Southern University in Baton Rouge, was sadly pronounced de@d around 3 am this morning (Feb. 27) after collapsing during an off-campus ritual for the school’s Omega Psi Phi fraternity. Wilson, who was a member of the school’s marching band, the Human Jukebox, was reportedly partaking in a ritual where pledges stand in line, according to fraternity members. The members told police they were at North Sherwood Forest Community Park before rushing Wilson to a nearby hospital. While reports note that an investigation into Wilson’s sudden passing is still ongoing, the school has released a statement, writing: “Southern University and A&M College is aware of an off-campus incident that may have resulted in the death of student Caleb Wilson, a junior from #NewOrleans majoring in mechanical engineering. The campus community extends condolences to his family, classmates and loved ones.” Adding: “Southern is cooperating fully with the Baton Rouge Police Department, which is in charge of the investigation.
