In December of 2023, my friend had brought up a group called “Stray Kids” i didn’t think much of it at first since i didn’t know who they were. I remember her showing my Band teacher a picture of them and at first i thought “oh it’s just a group of boys. no big deal.” After a while. my friends kept bringing them up and talking a lot about them. I started getting annoyed ngl but i never said anything. They brought photo cards of them all the time so i recognized BangChan’s face. i knew Felix too only because his name was the easiest to remember. In January of 2024, my friend told me to listen to 3 of their songs. Gods menu Hall of Fame LALALALA I was a little hesitant at first but i did it anyways. when i got home that day i put the song LALALALA and literally the second the beat dropped i turned it off and started hating. idk why. The next day i told my friend i listened to it and i liked it which was a lie. In February of that year, me and my friend were sharing airpods and she was listening to Stray Kids. i actually kind of liked it so i decided to give them a second chance. I added the songs Gods menu Hall of Fame Mixtape: Time Out. In February 24, 2024 at around 8:00 PM, i was on a car drive back from a fellowship at church and one of their songs played. i was doubting it thinking “i’m not gonna like it.” but i still listened anyway which, when it comes to songs that i think i won’t like, i immediately skip them. especially on car rides. but i didn’t. The song Hall of Fame played and i still remember the chills and goosebumps i got from listening to it. especially in Felix’s parts. I lowk thought that his voice was a voice filter but now i know that it’s not lol. I remember thinking “this song is really really good.” i’m not even trying to be dramatic but i was tearing up a little cs i usually always do whenever i’m shocked. which i was. I also remember thinking that no song has ever made me feel the way that one did. It’s like ever other song that i’ve ever loved was completely erased from my memory to make room for that one. I just wanted to get up and dance but i couldnt because i was in the car. I immediately started skipping every other song so i can hear all the others that i added. Gods menu played. i LOVED it. And it also made me realize that Felix’s deep voice is not a voice filter. i was getting so bored of my own and i was so happy that i found a fun genre. That same day i looked up one of the songs i listened to to see if there is a MV. and there was. For Gods menu. i watched it and i LOVED it. Felix has been my bias since day one but, I’m not gonna lie tho, when i watched the MV for Venom, my bias switched to Hyunjin but then switched back to Felix bc i love him too much. ever since that day Felix has been my bias and that won’t change any time soon. It took me a while to learn and recognize their faces and names. It was the hardest to tell the difference between Lee Know and I.N. They looked alike but now they really don’t. I’ve spent a whole YEAR being a STAY and honestly, ever since i became one, life has been really fun. My life was so boring and i hated my music taste. Whenever i’m bored now, i just listen to Stray Kids! And i love my music taste. And ofc, like ever other K-Pop fan, i get made fun of. but i don’t care. I’ve been a STAY for a year and i hope that i stay a STAY for more years, making memories and growing with skz. i also started stanning more groups like aespa and ateez, etc. But anyways. i’ll continue adding to this for as long as i’m a STAY and, maybe, hopefully, this summer, i’ll see them personally! They’re coming here on June 14! i’m not sure if i’m gonna go but if i try to convince my dad, maybe i will. It’s all Gods decision tho!!
