One time some mom tried to put the blame on us Musicians about HER random out of town extra guests. It was quite funny. Mom also tried to blame us for her and her stint of people getting kicked out.

We were in the same issue. I highly recommend inviting who is truly important and involved in your lives. We did no kids and said no to many other requests. Invite who you truly want there.

My kids had the same problem. So we honed the guest list to people who would have been part of their life in the last two years. No contact meant no invitation.
