Some of the best Gibson techs say a repaired headstock crack is better if done right. Usually it won’t break again. One that hasn’t, will break eventually.

Headstock repair done that well is good, because Gibby heads are notorious for breaking. I’d be happy to buy a repair!

so, first off that differentiation in finish from headstock, to neck, is actually pretty common with certain gibson finishes. second, it could be wear from use. the guitar is from the 60's 😂

All of this seems wrong. I don’t see a repair, I see normal finish wear. And that valuation is WAY too low. Get a better “expert” 👍
