@dr.amybkillen: Sound ON! 🔊 Studies show that taking your progesterone capsules within 30 min of a fatty snack increases absorption and peak progesterone levels by 2-5 fold. 📈 In one crazy Chinese study, they saw a 22-fold increase in peak progesterone! Oral Progesterone's half life is only about 4-5 hours so it'll be back to near baseline by the next day when your labs are drawn. ✅ But, at least theoretically, if you have a higher peak progesterone, you'll make more of those progesterone metabolites, which might make you sleep better. 💤 This trick won't work if you're taking a non-oral progesterone. And, to be fair, we don't know for sure that it affects sleep quality or mood, only that it affects serum progesterone levels. 💪 Who's with me ...
