Being able to buy “junk food” on food stamps meant my kids had birthday cakes and cookies at Christmas time. It allows for very normal cultural experiences.

I honestly think trying to prevent people on SNAP benefits from buying any food is vicious. And anyone trying should be required to live on SNAP benefits for a month and see how they do 😑

I get those as treats for my children every once in a while. and shocking yes I use food stamps sometimes when I buy them. I also have POTS so I need extra salt and chips and soda are 2nd and 3rd best
