The only way I know how is probably to late to do.. You need to let him see Lucky one last time in his motionless state Maverick will sense his passing and will grieve in a very likely different way.

oh poor baby he is sad.... our dogs did that after the king was put down. I do not know how to help. We got a new puppy in October (I wasn't ready) but it helped the greif of the others

I had to get my boy a friend because he was doing the same thing grieving is so very hard for them because they just don’t understand where they brother/ sister went. I am sending Maverick all the 🙏🏻
