I’m a catholic but I have a hard time believing that there is purgatory. The Bible often times says live holy as Christ is Holy. I understand that we are not perfect but the Bible says we who are in Christ do not make a practice of sinning and God counts us as righteous. So I guess whether there is one or not.. I’d rather live my life as if there wasn’t allowing the Holy Spirit to guide my life and perfect me as I continue diligently in his word.

the Bible teaches that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was sufficient to pay for the sins of all who believe in Him, and that there is no need for additional purification after death.

Additionally, 1 John 1:9 states that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

There’s no biblical evidence for this. I’ve read the Bible cover to cover at least a dozen times. No purgatory.

If I can pray to God and Jesus I should be able to confess my sins without a priest….I was raised a catholic but I’m not practicing b/c I just see so many flaws in this religion
