Odiyal Kool – Authentic Jaffna Recipe Odiyal Kool is a traditional Jaffna Tamil dish, a thick and nutritious seafood soup made with odiyal flour (palmyra root flour), seafood, vegetables, and spices. Grind all the spice paste ingredients and mix with odiyal flour and tamarind water until smooth. 	3.	Add the cut coconut, cooked rice, and musucceti leaves. Break the seafood into smaller pieces. 	4.	Stir in the flour mixture, adding water to achieve the right consistency. Simmer until thick. 	5.	Serve hot.
