Okay yes! We did an experience for my 5 yr old this year but I also asked friends to meet us for a play date on his bday weekend as well because he also was sad about a party!!

My son picked snow tubing in Big Bear with us for his 9th and a birthday party with friends for his 10th. Parties aren't always necessary and a small gathering when you get back would be a bonus 👍🏼

I booked my daughter horseback riding with a friend for 5th birthday. Paid for her friend to go. They had the best time. We haven’t done birthday parties with her yet.
