My son’s school is $90k a year. He’s gotten it covered by financial aid (single mom on SS for MS). He’ll likely lose it next yr bc of Trump. He’ll have to quit. I’m heartbroken 😭

I was a lower middle class kid who went to an Ivy League. Worth every single penny.

If you have financial need, most of these schools will give you a LOTS of money. The problem is when you make too much $ and don’t have an extra 50k-90k a year to pay for college.

the ppl who studies show benefit most from ivy league are women and members of underserved communities. basically ppl who aren’t given the benefit of a doubt - the ivy degree offers that

True. In general. But some schools are feeder schools for certain careers. It can be very hard to get into some careers unless you are a target school

The most successful person I worked with at a financial firm of 200+ highly educated college grads was an ex bartender who graduated from Fresno State.

I get college is expensive but if you're able to get into an ivy league school, they're typically the best when offering aid. Look at the schools retention rate and prof credentials!

30 years ago I didn’t go to Brown because we couldn’t afford it. I ended up at Smith, had great professors, played D3 sports and had a great all around experience.

wtf is a “dream school” anyway? What is that based on? Is it the brand? Most 18 year olds don’t even know what they want to do in life. Serious question.

Parents willing to pay that much should invest the money for their kids instead. All these college grads are without jobs these days.
