I have tried all these techniques and while it looks good in the camera unfortunately it doesn't look good in person ko matter the highlight u use and this is coming from someone with a very good skin

This technique actually doesn't work on every asian face. It actually depends of the person's face shape, the area in the face where light hits differ base on the face shape of the person.
