The Honda hybrids also don’t have a real transmission, the engine only drives an electric motor until highway speeds where it can engage a clutch for direct drive.

I think PHEVcan be stressful on long drives because the battery becomes extra weight when not fully charged but a traditional hybrid especially one that can use the engine as a generator is the best

Mild hybrids are NOT that more efficient AND they usually have small engines that greatly reduces capacity to do anything, like towing.

All non commercial vehicles should be hybrids. We have allowed car manufacturers to just not be innovative or progressive. We have been driving the same vehicles for 50yrs

The only think I don’t like is the resell value is significantly lower then regular gas driven cars. Resell takes a hit since people don’t want to buy used hybrids since the battery can be expensive.

My Toyota has okayish fuel economy. Around the same as non hybrid cars in its class. But it doesn’t have a belt drive, no turbo, no direct injection, a great eCVT. So it’s more its durability.
