I work as a swimming teacher and our rules are 1 adult per 2 children under the age of 8. If the child is over the age of 8 then they are allowed to swim by themselves, with out parents/guardians. x

I can’t even take 2 children in mine and my son can swim without armbands perfectly fine he’s 6 and my daughter is 4 it’s ridiculous isn’t it

Our local pools It’s a 1:1 ratio for the under 5’s. I get it’s for safety but when it’s literally shallow water & you’re there it does feel unfair
