Let’s normalize active pregnancies 👏🏼 I have always been an extremely physical person, finding that movement is my medicine. Now that I am embarking on the most beautiful, challenging, and badass physical endeavor - pregnancy & motherhood - I have a whole new respect for the female body. Y’all, it is WILD what the body can create & endure and I’m here for it. I applaud all of my fellow females out there 💪🏼 🤰While I may know a great deal about the human body and athletic training, I didn’t know how to train while pregnant. I had so many questions… ❓Is it safe? ❓Can I run? ❓Can I lift weights? 🤰I enlisted the pregnancy experts - consulting with my doctor & working with a strength and conditioning coach @brianna.battles , who specializes in training pregnancy & postpartum athletes in order to keep baby Roo 🦘 & Mama healthy and safe throughout this prenatal journey. 🤰During this season of life, I’m following a specific pregnant athlete program from @pregnant.postpartum.athlete , which has provided me with safe, pregnancy specific athlete workouts that empower me & still make me feel like a badass Mama to be. It has allowed me to (begrudgingly 😂) put the “more is better” mentality to the side, honor my changing body, and keep the ego out of the gym.
